your gut does a lot more than just digest your food. yes - it breaks down what we eat and turns it into fuel... but it also plays a huge role in our
immune system 🧬, our inflammatory response 🔥 and even our mood + stress levels

If your gut’s not happy, you’re not happy.

Here are a few simple ways to support your gut:

• eat a variety of whole foods - your gut loves diversity

• include fermented foods + prebiotic fiber daily + stay hydrated

• keep sugar + artificial sweeteners low + choose whole, minimally processed grains when you can • + prioritize sleep (your gut repairs at night) + move regularly — even a daily walk helps + avoid unnecessary antibiotics

• support the gut lining (I add collagen to my coffee
/matcha daily)

Remember, taking the step to a healthier lifestyle does not happen overnight. Pick one thing that you can start doing daily and keep up with it for the next a month. Once it has become a habit, then you can add one more thing.

I found one people start practicing healthy habits this way it tends not to be as overwhelming and is far more effective.

Exfoliant and Moisturizer all in one!

These sugar scrub bars leave my skin feeling so soft and smooth after! You can use as a body scrub or simple hand scrub to keep near your kitchen sink. The smell of pine, fir and spruce is perfect for this season and makes me feel so calm, grounded and peaceful.
Pine + Spruce Sugar Scrub Bars

Ingredients:
-1/3 cup (43 grams) coconut oil
-1.5 teaspoons (10 grams) shea butter
-2 tablespoons (14 grams) beeswax
-3/4 cup (128 grams) sugar
-6 drops Ponderosa Pine essential oil
-4 drops Douglas Fir essential oil
-4 drops Black Spruce essential oil
-Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped dry pine, spruce or fir needles

Instructions:
1. Melt together shea butter, coconut oil beeswax in double boiler on low
2. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in essential oils
3. Slowly add sugar while constantly stirring
4. Add the chopped tree needles to mixture
5. Pack tightly into circular molds
6. Leave 24 hours to harden
7. Remove from molds and store in glass jar before using.

To use: Gently massage bar on skin in circular motion.
Rinse with warm water.

Note: Due to the butter and wax components there will be a wonderful moisturizing effect with these!

When in the shower, the sugar easily rinses off, however the butter component loves to adhere to skin protecting it from moisture loss while repelling the water. Once out of the shower, this is quickly absorbed, leaving your skin incredibly soft and smooth! I actually find I can skip a moisturizer the days I use these!

Substitutions:
-Shea butter: Can be swapped with mango or cocoa butter
-Essential oils: Can swap out any essential oils. If you prefer tree aromas, try white pine, white spruce, scots pine, tsuga, hinoki, juniper, cedarwood, balsam fir
-Coconut oil could be swapped out with another oil such as jojoba oil but I would increase the amount of beeswax a touch if using a liquid oil
-Beeswax can be swapped for candelilla or carnauba wax. These are more potent thickeners so use half of the amount of beeswax that I did.

When the air turns cold, warmth begins in the kitchen. November calls for slow simmering, for pots that fill the house with the scent of herbs and earth. This mineral-rich veggie broth is made simply with onion, carrot, celery, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and sage. The kind of ingredients that remind you how generous the season still is.

It’s grounding, herbal, and nourishing in the quiet way that November asks for. Sip it warm to restore balance, use it as a base for soups, or pour it into jars for the week ahead. Let it be your reminder to slow down, stay warm, and care for yourself with what the season provides.

What Makes It “Mineral-Rich”

When simmered for over an hour, these vegetables and herbs release electrolytes, trace minerals, and phytonutrients into the broth water.

Ingredients
- 2 large onions, quartered
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, smashed
- 12 cups water
- 1 tablespoon each rosemary, thyme, and sage

Instructions
Add everything to a large pot and bring to a gentle boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 1½ hours. Strain, taste, and add a little salt if needed.
