Our residents had an amazing time getting into the Mardi Gras spirit! From designing their own festive masks to striking fun poses with our colorful photo prop, the day was filled with creativity, laughter, and plenty of smiles.

It was wonderful to see everyone’s unique styles shine through as they decorated their masks and captured sweet memories with friends and staff. Moments like these remind us how joyful it is to celebrate together and make every day special at Rosegate.

Our residents are strengthening their hand-eye coordination and motor skills through restorative therapy — and what better way to do it than with a fun game of basketball!

Laughter, friendly competition, and teamwork filled the room as everyone took their best shots. Activities like this not only support physical wellness but also boost confidence, social connection, and overall joy.

🏀✨ All-Star Fun ✨🏀

Our managers, floor staff, and residents came together to celebrate a basketball-themed All-Star event — and the competition was fierce! From hallway shootouts to creative team challenges, everyone showed off their skills and brought their game faces.

The highlight? Our residents couldn’t stop laughing as our Executive Director made rounds in the famous basketball hoop pants, bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of team spirit to every corner of the building.

It was more than just games — it was connection, joy, and unforgettable moments shared between staff and residents. Thank you to everyone who participated and made our Friday a slam dunk!

Tom Baker is a resident at Rosegate and is truly a joy to be around. He is a lifelong musician whose heart has always belonged to the guitar. He first fell in love with music around the age of eight, inspired by his grandfather, who always had a guitar nearby and played in a band himself. That early influence sparked a passion that would shape Tom’s life.

Over the years, Tom played everything from rock-and-roll to country, performing with friends, playing in bands, and entertaining crowds in bars and clubs. His music even took him as far as Las Vegas and into studios in Nashville. One of the bands he played with was known as The Circus, and they performed around downtown Indianapolis.

Music has always been more than a hobby for Tom — it’s been his joy, his outlet, and his connection to others. To this day, his love for the guitar remains a defining part of who he is.

Lance Seever has lived a life guided by a strong desire to help others and serve his community. From a young age, Lance shared that he “just wanted to be a cop all his life.” That calling shaped many of his life choices and values.

Lance proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he learned discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. After his military service, he continued serving the public by working in corrections as a correctional officer. He often says he enjoyed his work and took pride in protecting others and doing his job well.

Lance believes deeply in serving the people and working to protect others. While he wanted to be a policeman, he found meaningful ways to live out that goal through his career in corrections and public service. He also admired strong law enforcement figures, once sharing that Steven “Judy” Gable was “the best cop he had.”

Family is important to Lance. He is a father and grandfather and values his role within his family. He is straightforward, values honesty. Thank you Lance for your service and allowing Rosegate to care for you!
