I want to celebrate men who are actively working on themselves.
Who are working on responding instead of reacting. Who take care of their bodies and live a healthy lifestyle. Who want better and decide to walk with mirrors, examining their character and being aware of how their words and actions impact others. Who admit their defects and shortcomings and constantly strive to be better. Who work on their relationships. Who check their egos. Who donโt whine, complain, or make excuses. Who wake up early and want to build something.
Who choose to be a daily student, to learn from others. Who open doors, kiss like they mean it, and love with intention. Who contribute to domestic work and consider mental load. Who show themselves, express, communicate, call people back. Who believe in foreplay and change the dialogue in locker rooms. Who donโt live in the past. Who have the ability to draw healthy boundaries. Who know how to create a safe space yet stand in their truth. Who take ownership. Who believe in something greater than themselves. Who fan the fire in their belly. Who make decisions, walk with certainty, and dream big.
Men who can separate ability from worth. Who remember birthdays and anniversaries. Who put thought into their gifts. Who understand the responsibility of being a father. Who spend time and engage with their children. Who are not afraid to show affection. Who choose to be vulnerable. Who say I love you. To other men. Who can control their anger, alcohol, and money. Who practice self love and self compassion. Who are swimming toward a better version of themselves.
I want to celebrate these men today.
