Midwest Center for Joint Replacement

Midwest Center for Joint Replacement At MCJR, we believe in providing a complete healing experience. When you choose MCJR for your knee, hip, or shoulder surgery, we do more than fix an issue.

We help you regain the things you care about and get back to leading a complete and happy life. At Midwest Center for Joint Replacement we believe in providing a complete healing experience. Together, we own the responsibility of helping patients get back to leading the healthy, productive lives they deserve. Recognition: The first step starts with you. Most people deal with the discomfort of joint pain until they are unable to do the things they love, like playing with their children or grandchildren, hiking, walking the dog, or golfing. If your joint pain is significantly limiting your quality of life, it’s time to take that first step and contact us. Education: There’s a lot to consider when it comes to treatment. In the past five years there have been significant advancements in the treatment of arthritis. Since each person’s joints are different, our surgeons will examine you, perform x-rays, and review treatment options. During the visit, and in the days that follow, you will have access to a number of resources to help you make the most informed decision. Decision: Choosing to do something about your joint pain can be a liberating experience. Many patients describe scheduling their surgery as finally being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Procedure: After a preoperative visit, you will receive a specific set of instructions. Our team works closely with you to ensure you are completely prepared on the day of your surgery, from getting preoperative prescriptions to preparing your home to planning your recovery. Recovery: We work with you to control and manage your pain throughout your recovery. Depending on the type of joint replacement surgery, we see many patients back at home the same day of their procedure. Our team will begin rehabilitation the day of your surgery, which includes a complete recovery plan, detailed instructions, follow-up appointments, and all postoperative prescriptions.

The Team Hope in Motion surgical teams have launched into their first day of surgery in Antigua, Guatemala today! We are excited to hear about the life-changing surgeries they'll perform for many people who have suffered years with severe deformities and untreated injuries.

Yesterday was a busy day of triaging over 100 hip, knee, foot, and ankle patients ready for surgery. The city of Antigua is also bursting with beauty as the locals observe the Lenten season. They can also see Fuego - an active volcano - puffing in the distance.
