This is the time of year where many people start to exhibit symptoms of seasonal allergies (hay fever). It can be confusing to determine whether your symptoms indicate a bacterial infection, viral infection or allergies.

Allergy symptoms typically include:
*sneezing
*itching/watering eyes
*itching ears
*nasal congestion
*dry, scratchy throat
-symptomatic treatment can include OTC antihistamines such as zyrtec, claritin, flonase

Bacterial and viral infection symptoms can include:
*fever and chills, body aches
*cough
*congestion
*sore throat
*ear pain or discharge

How is bacteria treated?
