The Medical Equipment Loan Closet will reopen on Thursday, July 2 from 1 to 5 PM. Volunteers will be able to assist you with pick up and returns of equipment each Thursday from 1 to 5 PM. We are also able to assist you with medical equipment needs at other times by contacting Martha Phillips at 828-467-3167. We look forward to assisting you!

Pine Grove United Methodist Church and Mount Zion United Methodist Church operate a medical loan closet. Serving everyone in Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey County in need of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, shower stools, lift chairs etc. We are happy to loan equipment to everyone in need at no charge for as long as needed. Staffed by volunteers the closet located in the trailer across from the church is open on Thursday afternoons during the summer months.
