Help Us Support Women Facing Breast Cancer: The Jackie Furby Legacy Award

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide vital financial support to women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. With your donation, we aim to give ten women a $500 grant each, helping to ease their financial burden during a difficult time. Your contribution will honor Jackie Furby's legacy by making a meaningful difference in the lives of women facing breast cancer. Together, we can provide hope, support, and a little relief when it’s needed most.

Help Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Project reach their goal by donating or sharing with your friends.

🌸✨ What an inspiring Saturday! Today, we gathered at the Yvonne Burke Center in Los Angeles for our Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivor Support Project. We were honored to have guest speaker Lily Padilla, who shared invaluable insights on healthy foods to incorporate into our diets as cancer patients and survivors. 🥗🥤

From delicious salads to refreshing smoothies, we not only learned but also got to taste some amazing recipes together! The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of community. 💖 Thank you to everyone who joined us for this empowering event! Here’s to health, support, and sisterhood! 💪🏾🌼

February is Black History Month—a time to honor the contributions of African Americans and address health disparities that persist. Did you know Black women under 40 have higher breast cancer rates than any other group? The American Cancer Society is committed to changing this through equity in cancer care.”
The American Cancer Society has launched the VOICES of Black Women® study—a transformative initiative aiming to partner with 100,000 Black women to better understand cancer risks and improve health outcomes. This groundbreaking research will help close gaps and create a healthier future for Black women.”
Join thousands stepping up for Black women’s health. I encourage every eligible Black woman to consider enrolling at voices.cancer.org. Just one hour a year can transform health outcomes for Black women everywhere. If you are not eligible, I strongly encourage you to share this link with a Black woman in your life. Your voice is essential in helping the collective fight against cancer.”

The time is now. Use your VOICE to change the future of cancer as we know it.
