Scammers are increasingly posing as government agencies to target older adults.

According to the National Council on Aging, criminals often pretend to be from the Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to pressure people into sharing personal information or sending money.

🚩 Red flags include threats of arrest, urgent payment requests, or messages asking for your Medicare or Social Security number.

When in doubt: hang up, delete the message, and never share personal information.

Who says adventure has an age limit? 🚦🏁

Our ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) group hit the track at Kartona Electric Speedway in Panama City Beach! At Watersound Fountains, we believe every day is a new opportunity to try something exciting—no matter your age.

Wayne, one of our spirited 94-year-old residents, said it best: “94 is just a number, and I’m fortunate enough that I don’t have a walker, I don’t have a cane, and I’m still in great shape. I wanted to see if I could teach these guys a lesson, bang into them a few times maybe!”

It highlights the friendship between Wanda and Peggy at our sister community, Sonrisa Senior Living. What started with a simple invitation to play bridge quickly turned into daily check-ins, shared activities, and a “best friend for life.”
