Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University in 1987. He earned his Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1991. He has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 1992 and has worked as an interim administrator throughout Michigan since 1999.
