A rough and challenging day 2 at the IFalls Bass Championship didn't allow us to fish what we wanted to, so we fished 6 years worth of memories and managed to put a 17.32lb bag together! We had the runner up for big fish thanks to our 4.55lb kicker! It was a great 2 days and we're only a little sore from the rough ride yesterday! We got to sit on the hot seat and scrapped past a few of the top 10 teams - what a thrill!

Congrats to everyone who fished and thank you to the volunteers and committe who run such an excellent event!

Even bigger thank you to our families for the support while we chase bronzebacks around Rainy Lake!


We don't know where to find a 20+ bag on Rainy Lake, but we're proud of what we were able to pull together....hopefully ...

We have fished the for 11 years now and finally we managed to be consistent. Fishing was tough and our bigger bites were random which had us scrambling all 3 days, wasted a lot of time swinging for the fence but it's the best we have ever done. Prefishing gave us little to work with but we ended 21st out of 119 teams. We're proud and impressed by our finish and hungrier than ever for next year! 🤟

Made a move up and landed in 20th place today, we fished old school banging shoreline again and caught 2 random big ones in two different spots which led us astray for a lot of hours today 😅 ....but thankful to have 17.47lb for day 2! Looking forward to day 3! 😁

According to the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship (FFCBC) scale we ended up with 16.58lb on day 1 - fishing was slow but we slugged through it and takeoff earlier tomorrow than we started today! Tomorrow is a new day with some new weather.....motor ran all day 🙏 and Dev gets MVP (last pic) for diving into the lake to save a stray rod that flew out the back in the chaos of landing a 4lb kicker! 😆

Not a lot of fish to be found, compounded by electric (rodent) and motor issues....some choice words and the help from great friends, hopefully we can attempt to find fish tomorrow!

We owe the opportunity to a number of people after this week, hopefully we can make it all worth it 🙏

The fishing community is so amazing when you need the help, we will forever pay it forward!

Despair 2025 gave us better potential than usual - we lost two key fish the first day leaving us with a 13lb bag - Day 2 we lost 3 big fish mid air which would have easily had us tickling the 16lb mark...but that's how the cookie crumbles! We still had an absolute blast as always. Thanks to Lake Despair Lodge and all the volunteers! Congrats to Ross and Jeff on the W!
