Just because you do good work in the world, doesn’t mean you are exempt from challenges. Our business debit card was compromised this week depleting our account down to almost nothing. Yes, the funds will be replaced, but it has felt like a gut punch. It’s hard not to ask the questions, why us? Why would someone deliberately do this?
It took us a minute, but we eventually came to take a step back and ask, What’s the lesson?
Are we moving too fast?
Are we staying true to our values?
Do we need a break?
Are we holding on too tightly?
What if someone needed that money more than us?
We may never know.
We do know that today, the sun will rise. 8 beautiful souls will enter our doors to slow down, to be with nature, and to reconnect with themselves.
