We are fully open after a visit from hurricane Milton.

Many people across the state are still struggling. Some of the people in the lower parts of the state are still without electricity at this point. Flooding is still a problem.

Please remember to support each other as we recover from this latest hurricane.

The Citrus County Office is closed for the rest of the week due to Hurricane Milton.

The office has secured the contents and records in the building in preparation for the upcoming storm.

As required by our licensing bodies and accreditation, we are providing information on how we protect records. The pictures show our wrapped equipment. All records are backed up to an encrypted external drive that is kept in a secure location in a water proof/fireproof box.

I also recommend watching stand up comedy, listening to upbeat music, chatting online with a friend, calling someone you know who is also feeling the dreary day and beat up mother nature together. 🙃 Maybe it is time for a nice warm bath or hot shower and a warm cup of cocoa or coffee. Our brains often focus on the negative things in life because those are the things that need attention. Taking time to recognize that there are also positive times during the day will also help beat the dull drums.

The Inverness office will return to on site operations on Tuesday after the office completes post hurricane set up. The phone is still active and the receptionist is available for calls.

The Inverness office for Therapeutic Health Endeavors will be closed until Hurricane Idalia has passed. At this point, we are closed until Thursday. The storm is expected to make landfall Wednesday on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Per reports of forecasters, Idalia is under watch with predictions of becoming at least a major Category 3 hurricane before it reaches Florida.

Disaster preparedness is in process at the office, please do the same at your home.

Medical facilities have to protect documents and records when hurricanes are announced. All records and personal information are stored and are protected per the guidelines of HIPAA and record storage management.

Our office will be ensuring that all protected information is safe from damage or access during the hurricane. Records will be protected from water and wind damage by covering and placing all documentation in a room with no windows, in waterproof containers. All data is backed up to preserve individual records.
Our office will be taking phone calls on Thursday to determine our status as open or closed.

This type of drug abuse from medication used for animals brings about a serious impact on humans. Drug dealers are mixing this item with Fentynl to increase their profit. My company treats substance abuse, as well as other mental health symptoms. It is difficult to treat these types of addiction in outpatient therapy.

The overdose-reversal drug naloxone that can be critical to saving fentanyl users doesn’t work against xylazine. And users can become physically dependent on xylazine in addition to fentanyl, complicating treatment.

The animal tranquilizer xylazine is showing up in the illicit drug supply in the United States, particularly in synthetic opioids like fentanyl.
