Mosquito-borne diseases for humans or our animal partners are serious business. ๐ฆ Florida mosquitos can transmit several diseases, including West Nile virus, St. Louis Encephalitis, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, dengue fever, malaria, yellow fever and heartworm.
A simple way of reducing mosquitoes is to limit their access to standing water, which is where they breed. Florida Forever B*H, in partnership with Florida Forest Service Ranger Tom Moody, recently stocked the water tanks on the Withlacoochee State Forest Citrus Tract with mosquito control minnows. ๐๐ We want you and yours to be safe and well.

You can get mosquito control minnows in Citrus County from the county mosquito control district. Mr. Ed (no relation to the talking horse ๐ด) supplied us with an excellent education as well as the minnows.
