In September 2025, we recognized a growing need in our community for a Day Habilitation program, and we took that step forward. Since opening, the response has been overwhelming in the best way.

Our members are happier, more engaged, thriving, and our staff morale has never been stronger.

Here are just a few highlights from the past few months

🍽️ Together, We Can Set a Place for Everyone at The Lord’s Table ❤️

This holiday season, The Lord’s Table, a local food bank (501c3) is partnering with Stepping Stones Cottages, LLC to support individuals and families in our community who are struggling due to recent cuts to SNAP Assistance programs.

Across America, millions are facing a SNAP crisis with reduced benefits and higher grocery prices, many families are finding it harder than ever to put food on the table. Here at home, those with disabilities, special needs, and fixed incomes are being hit especially hard.

💛 No one should go hungry. That’s why we’re coming together to fill the gap with compassion, generosity, and good food.

🙌 How You Can Help

🛒 Donate Nonperishable Food Items
Canned proteins, vegetables, fruits, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and shelf-stable meals are especially needed.

💵 Make a Financial Contribution
Monetary donations help us purchase fresh items and meet urgent needs fast.

🤝 Volunteer Your Time
Help us sort, pack, and distribute food boxes to local families and residents of Stepping Stones Cottages, LLC who have no transportation.

We are currently seeking a Respite Provider to support a Martinsburg family with two boys, ages 10 and 12, both with autism.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference while working with a family who will appreciate your care and dedication!

Position Details:
Support Provided: Work one-on-one with one child

The boys are ages 10 and 12 and enjoy engaging activities with trusted support

📅 Flexible Scheduling: 17.5 hours per week per child

Opposite days (You’ll alternate working with each child)

Family is open to working around your availability!

Compensation:
💵 Stepping Stones pays $14.00 per hour
🚗 Mileage reimbursement at $0.41 per mile

We are currently helping a family in need of a respite provider for their 17-year-old autistic son. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful difference in a family's life while earning extra income.

Job Details:
✅ Transportation Support (Weekdays)

Schedule: 3-4 days a week (Monday–Thursday)

Time: Start at 9:00 AM, ends after drop-off

Location: Transportation to Grafton School

Duties: Safely transport the individual from home to school.

✅ Weekend Respite Care (Flexible Hours)

Hours: 2–4 hours (flexible, based on family’s needs)

Duties: Provide companionship, support, and engagement during respite time.

Pay & Benefits:
💵 $14.00 per hour

🌟 About the Role
This RN position focuses on documentation, oversight of AMAPs, and delivering First Aid/CPR and client-specific training. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring health and safety in compliance with WV IDD Waiver standards.

📌 Key Details

Monday–Friday | 9 AM – 5 PM (some flexibility; occasional weekends/holidays)

Focus on training, oversight, and medical recordkeeping

🎓 Qualifications

Active RN License (Required)

2+ years of nursing experience

BLS Certification (Preferred)

IDD/Waiver experience (Preferred)
