The end of the year is approaching, which means insurance policies will be renewing.
For our retired patients, this message is for you!👇
We've had lots of confusion with patients switching to Medicare Advantage plans through United Healthcare, Aetna, Humana, etc. Those fancy Medicare Advantage plans that organizations try to sell you on are NOT in fact Medicare. Medicare WILL NOT call you, the calls you get for "Medicare Advantage" are sales organizations. And the salespeople will be very persuasive because they want that $600 bonus they receive when you sign up. Those advantage plans also come with copays that they usually don't tell you about, and we have found some plans don't pay/cover at all. If you stick with traditional Medicare you will have to meet your small deductible and then your visits will be much cheaper.
Just please please please do your research before signing up for new insurance plans. That way you know what you sign up for is actually best for you.
