Ariana had her four month checkup today. This time she had a CT and an ultrasound and EKG.

This girl loves to make every medical personnel she encounters smile and laugh. She is quick witted and still so curious about every aspect of her appointments.

Ariana has decided when she grows up she wants to be a Childlife Specialist with a service dog. 🐕‍🦺 A perfect profession for her.

So thankful for another report of good health, a happy liver, and a chance to make that dream a reality.

An AMAZING woman, , has created an extraordinary experience for 78 cancer children and their families to attend the September 14th Iowa Hawkeye football game.

September is Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness, and we will all get to participate 'The Wave, from the other side,' to the children on the 11th floor.

Our family has never attended a game and we are so excited!

Ariana had her 2 year end of treatment scans, blood work, and ultra sound today.

Dr. D. reports she is healthy and everything looks perfect. Next scans are being pushed out to four months.

Two years down and three to go in the cancer world. The transplant side will be a life time journey and we will take it. She has life and for that we are grateful!

Ariana was able enjoyed softball for the first time this year. As she did with her medical journey, she was a fighter and a determined young lady to play hard. She enjoyed every second.

Ariana had her annual trip to CO for her liver transplant evaluation yesterday.

We are so lucky to not only have an amazing team here in Iowa, but in Colorado as well.

Dr. Boster is such a wonderful doctor. We love ways she talks and laughs with Ariana. She answers all my questions about the future with honesty.

Ariana had an excellent visit. Her liver continues to be healthy and growing well with her body.

Last week Ariana had her U of I scans as well as her annual trip to CO to meet with the transplant team.

As luck would have it she started to get sick that Monday during her scans, but was well enough to make the trip to CO.

Due to the sickness she had some findings in her left lungs as well as some larger lymph nodes. Dr. D had warned us that the verbiage for the scans might read as such. I was waiting to see if we would get a call, but I'm happy to say no call. Her AFP (cancer marker) came back at 3, which had been consistent with past checks. 🥳

The CO team said they are very please with all the pictures (113 to be exact, Ariana was sure to count during the ultra sound 😊) that they took during visit. Her labs came back good.

Ariana is on her final days of first grade. She did really well for her first real year in school and is ready to head into second grade.

Coming up, labs in a month and new scans in three.

One Year Transplantaversary a.k.a. Cancer Free Day!! 🥳🎉🎂

Ariana has been doing so well. Growing hair and losing teeth and making lots of friends. Her labs continue to be great and show no signs of rejection. Coming up, new scans for a continued report of good health. 🤞🍀💪

Thinking of the donor family as they hit there one year of their child passing. Without that liver we might be in a different situation. Every day we think about this family. Every time we hear Ariana's sweet giggles we think of this family that chose to give life at the time of sorrow in their lives. We will be FOREVER grateful to this family. ❤️ We send peace, love and healing to them on this difficult day. Stay strong you saved our little girl's life. 🙏🙏🙏
