Autism clinic tries to help kids reach their potential A new center to help children with autism and their families has opened on Chicago’s North Side. Caravel Chicago at the corner of Irving Park and Rockwell uses a method called “Applied Behavior Analysis.”

We are excited to introduce our newest treatment center to the Caravel Autism Health Family! We’re changing even more lives in the Chicago Irving Park area by developing skills, creating connections, and instilling confidence in children through ABA therapy.

Clients at our West Madison center had fun decorating their own pumpkins on Friday afternoon. This craft is not only fun, but it also helps our clients practice their fine motor skills.
The action of peeling the sticky decorations requires a neat pincer grasp to pull up the edge of a sticker from a sticker sheet. For some kids, grasping just the edge of a single sheet of paper is quite tricky.
We all rely on these skills to do critical tasks in school, work, and everyday life.

Caravel team members volunteered with CHI-CARE to give food, water and other essentials to those experiencing homelessness around the greater Chicagoland area. This organization works with local restaurants to package over 400 meals every Sunday to feed those in need. A truly remarkable and selfless feat.
