My current COVID-19 precautions.
Your safety is my primary concern, and I am using information from the CDC, Iowa Department of Public Health, and numerous online resources to try and follow the best possible practices to protect you! Procedures have changed, but hopefully you will still have a relaxing experience!
Also, please realize that these precautions are not just for your safety, but also for myself, my family, anyone with whom I am in contact with in the future, future clients, their families, anyone they will contact, etc.
My current best-practice plan is below. Please contact me if you have any questions or suggestions!
1) If possible, please pay for the appointment online, as this will minimize contact with the card swiper and my phone.
2) Please take a shower/bath and dress in clean clothes just before your appointment. Please do not make any stops before your appointment, to minimize exposure of yourself and the massage room. If you have one, please bring a face mask. If you do not have one, one can be provided.
3) Please remain in your vehicle until your appointment time. If I do not meet you in the lobby, please remain outside/in your vehicle until I contact you. Feel free to call me as well.
4) I will check your temperature with a forehead thermometer, just to be safe.
5) The chair in the room is covered with plastic, and the blanket for your massage will be covering the chair. Once you are on the table, i will move the blanket to the table.
6) Please use the hand sanitizer just before climbing onto the table.
7) I will be wearing a mask during the appointment. If possible, please wear your mask during the entire massage. If you cannot breath comfortably while face down, then feel free to remove it. The mask MUST be worn while face up, I will continue to work the neck and shoulders, but will be skipping the face for now.
8) After the massage, I will move the blanket back to the chair, and exit the room. I will wash my arms and hand, and use sanitizer while you are getting ready. After you are dressed, please open the door as usual.
9) After your appointment, I will wipe down the room, including the furniture, chair, table, door handle, light switch, lotion bottle, phone, credit card machine, etc. I will also run the fan/ionizer until the next appointment.
These are the current "best practices". I would love to hear any suggestions that you have for improvements. Some of these steps may be excessive, but I truly want all of us to be safe during this time.
