Our doctors practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. In June three members of our OSA team traveled to Hopewell, Jamaica to provide dental surgery to an underserved region of the island. Dr. Chad Pfohl was joined by nurses Janet Nicholson and Anne Thomas as well as his son Charlie. Their team performed procedures for several hundred patients over four days. Charlie tutored elementary students and enjoyed soccer with the locals.

Well, the weather outside was frightful but the party inside was delightful! OSA and Endodontic Associates celebrated the holidays with friends and colleagues at our biennial holiday party. Oral Surgery Associates was proud to sponsor the 2016 Telenet UCI Jingle Cross World Cup event the weekend of September 22-25th. Jingle Cross featured Cyclo-Cross bikers from around the world competing for the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup. Iowa City was only one of two North American sites for this event. The event brought in thousands of tourists and was watched by millions on television worldwide. In attendance were retired professional cyclists Christian Vande Velde and Jason McCartney. The event was an enormous success for Iowa City. Proceeds from the event went to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.

We would like to welcome Dr. Todd Juhlin to the Oral Surgery Associates of Iowa City team!

Dr. Juhlin completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Northern Iowa in 1990. He then received his dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1994. He completed a one-year internship and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Juhlin is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Following completion of his residency, Dr. Juhlin moved to Mason City, Iowa and joined North Iowa Oral Surgery Associates, P.C. He then moved to Littleton, CO and practiced in the Denver Metro for 3 years before returning to Iowa to join Oral Surgery Associates of Iowa City.
