Our reproductive health specialists do more than help women become pregnant. They help patients with the physical and mental highs and lows that are often part of reproductive care.

When Courtney's first pregnancy ended prematurely in 2022, she thought it was somehow her fault, but the physician assistant who helped her throughout her fertility treatments reassured her: “You are not powerful enough to have caused this problem.”

Crowder tried again, and her son, Clark, was born in May 2024.

This northwest Iowa native and former Hawkeye Football punter overcame the odds after a traumatic injury.

Nick Phelps thought he might never walk again. After three surgeries on his leg at University of Iowa Health Care, not only was he able to walk, but he also ran a marathon.

🩸 When Mor’s twins were born at just 26 weeks, both needed numerous blood transfusions to survive. The couple’s surrogate also required a life-saving transfusion during an emergency C-section.

Today, Mor donates blood at the University of Iowa DeGowin Blood Center to honor those who gave his family more time.
