October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Our office will be doing a fundraiser during the month of October to raise money to donate to Team Breast Friends. Team Breast Friends is a local organization that raises money for breast cancer awareness as well as supports women financially who are dealing with this devastating disease. The organization was formed over 10 years ago and works with women and families in the Corridor.

Donations of $1 (or more if you want) can be made throughout the month of October. You can put up a Pink Ribbon at the front desk at the office for each $1 donation. With each donation you can put your name on it, put who you are donating in honor of, or just a simple message if you would like.

Our office will match up to $200 in donations!
All donations can be made in cash, credit card, or check. Please see any of our office staff, doctors, or massage therapist for questions.

Bella Vita Chiropractic & Wellness continues to keep the safety of our patients, clients, and staff as a top priority.

With the recent update from the CDC and IDPH regarding masks, we will continue to require masks be warn in common areas regardless of vaccination status.

Last night Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a law banning masks mandates. We understand the excitement and eagerness to be able to go about our day without a mask, however, the CDC recommends that medical offices should maintain mask requirements. Some of our patients are immunocompromised and are at a greater risk of infection. We also treat patients and clients of all ages and not all have been able to get vaccinated.

We strive to provide a safe healing environment so are asking anyone entering out office to wear a mask. Please be respectful of those around you and maintain a safe distance.

The CDC has advised that masks are no longer needed if you are fully vaccinated. This is exciting news as it shows we are moving closer to “normal”. However, to ensure all of our patients, clients, and staff safety we will continue to require face masks while in our office.

We are looking for an amazing Front Desk Receptionist.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and hardworking individual who has great customer service and attention to detail. Position entails answering phones, checking in/out patients, and supporting daily needs of the office. Applicants must love working in a positive healing environment.

Applicants must be able to work Monday 1:45-6:30, Tuesday 1:45-5:00, Wednesday 1:45-7:00, and Thursday 1:45-6:00. Some Daytime or Friday hours as needed to help cover staff time off.

Make sure you are boosting your immune system by getting plenty of rest, drinking water, and eating healthy. Studies have been shown, that increasing your intake of vitamin D, vitamin C, zing, and potassium can help boost your immune system.

As the weather starts to get colder, our immune system starts to work overtime. Here are some tips to help boost your immune system and arm yourself for cold and flu season.

Eat a healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables, and super grains
Exercise regularly
Get regular sleep each night
Minimize stress

And most important, “have a spinal checkup”. When your spine is out of alignment your nervous system is stressed, this puts extra stress on your immune system.

At Bella Vita Chiropractic & Wellness we are committed to transparency. We were notified today that one of our employees is exhibiting symptoms associated with COIVID-19. We have thorough disinfected all areas of our office. We have confirmed that this employee spent very little time with staff and any patients/clients they came in contact with while they were in the office last week. Any patients/clients that they did have close contact with have been notified.

Due to our continued efforts to disinfect surfaces, social distancing, and utilization of masks, we feel confident that the risk of exposure is very low.
