“In a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist. We must become anti-racist.” – Angela Davis
March 21, globally is marked as the International Day for the Elimination against Racism. On that day, in 1960, police opened fire at a peaceful demonstration in Sharpeville, South Africa, against the apartheid pass laws; 69 people were killed, and 180 were injured. We remember victims of the Sharpeville, Massacre. We hear the voices of survivors - of the peaceful protests, who stood up against racism.
