If I were to ask you right now: What will your next thought be? How would you answer? This little exercise shows that you ARE capable of creating your thoughts. You're in control, and you get to decide what to think.

When you're floating, you get to decide what to imagine. You could imagine you're in the middle of the ocean, floating silently under the stars. You could imagine you're in space, or drifting down the Amazon river, or sitting in a field of daisies. Anything you can think about, you can imagine.

Next time you float, unleash your imagination, and see what you come up with!

That's one of the beautiful things about floating. You don't have to talk about it. It can be a place to confront your thoughts, to work through them, to find release.

Yoga is so much more than just moving your body. At first, it might feel hard. And then your body will start to feel so much better. But it's still not about learning to be flexible, at least not in the body. It's about flexibility of the mind.

It's about silencing the can'ts and shouldn'ts, it's about feeling more at ease in your body, it's about using movement to calm the mind.

Have you ever been floating, or even just about to fall asleep at home, and you feel a big jolting sensation? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

That's called a "hypnagogic jerk", and it happens as your body starts to relax. You can find several different possible causes, but it's believed that your nervous system is essentially resetting from a state of awareness or alert to a more calming, resting state. It's a good thing, even though it's pretty annoying to experience. If it happens to you, just take a breath, be grateful for your newfound state of relaxation, and carry on with your floating bliss.
