We are so excited to partner with the Iowa DD Council for this webinar celebrating the strength of Iowa families during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM)!

Listen to the stories of families with real life experience as they navigate through services and support and persistently advocate for their children.

We will share four videos created by families and then have time for discussion and questions after each video.

But that’s not all! Our recipients will be invited to receive their device at the Heartland Spectrum Musical Festival (Saturday, April 26th 2025), celebrating communication, inclusion, and community in a truly special way.

Iowa LEND is Now Recruiting!

The Iowa Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (ILEND)
program is now recruiting for the 2025-2026 academic year. ILEND is an interdisciplinary
training program dedicated to improving the health of people with disabilities across
the lifespan.

Participation in the yearlong program prepares trainees from diverse healthcare,
educational, and community disciplines to assume leadership roles in their respective
fields, ensuring high levels of interdisciplinary clinical competence. Clinical and nonclinical trainees expand their skills and knowledge in leadership, cultural responsiveness,
person- and family-centered care, research, and disability policy and advocacy. Disciplines
include, but are not limited to audiology, community, education, family, health administration,
nursing, medicine, physical therapy, psychology, public health, self-advocacy, speech-language pathology, and social work.
