😴😴 that's how this post will start, buuuuuut heeeeere weeee goooo! After last week's setback, starting cycle 2 today!! Another round the 17th, then PET scan the 21st to see how the treatment is doing. He's feeling good (besides the typical being woke up too early grumbles, some things never change) so all the things to keep him going are welcomed and appreciated!!! Thank you!! πŸ’œπŸ–€πŸ’œπŸ–€

Hey friends! Here is a fun update. Cycle 2 has been delayed due to my lil ER visit that I had yesterday. Ended up with a very low grade fever and found out that I have a lung infection. Antibiotics have been started, but I otherwise feel fine. Hopefully we can get the next cycle started next week. 🀞🏼

Treatment number two underway now. Was almost postponed due to a lab being low but after lots of talk between doctors they decided to go ahead and proceed with it and have him come back next week to check his labs again to see if they need to add a shot into the mix along with antibiotics for extra protection against cooties. Overall he's still doing really good and in very good spirits! After this treatment, cycle one is in the books! He's got this! We got this! πŸ’œπŸ–€

*Update*

Labs are good, better then we expected for some and alot staying steady. EKG done to make sure all is well with his heart. All clear for next week's round!

1 week post appt for labs and check in. They want to see how he's handling everything so far. Couldn't be more thankful for how efficient and attentive everyone here is.

Well...5 day update post infusion. Im feeling exceptionally better. Seems like I get really nice rest day 1 through 3 and then hit fatigue on day 4. But it's right back to "normal". If this is how i feel and rebound then I can definetly handle this. 😁 Hopefully it stays like this and manageable.

Alrighty friends. Today is the day we get the port placed. Nervous and honestly ready to be over with this. 😬

Morning everyone. Wanted to post an update yesterday but after the appointment we were wiped out physically and mentally. So here's the shortened version. Everything we had been told and already processed was completely wiped away. We talked to three doctors (counting the student) and an awesome nurse who will be Dalton's primary nurse. We were in the room for three hours having our minds blown with everything.(That's the longer version) However we walked away with questions answered that we had thought were already answered, increased knowledge on exactly what was going on with him all the way down to the reason for his increased wheezing. They even brought up his scans to show and explain all the things. Way more then we expected and was left to process everything all over again. So here we go.... he stayed at a stage 2B and we got the plan in place. (happening faster than we originally anticipated) He goes next Thursdsy Feb 26th for port placement and ABVD chemo starts the next day!!! We will be at the hospital on infusion days from 10am-5pm, with a 5 hour chair time. He will go every other Friday with the tentative end date of July 31st. There will be a PET scan after 2 months, then completion of treatment finishing with a final scan and port removal. After the last scan is done and they will monitor him for two years. Success rate is very high and we will continue to stay positive because HE WILL BEAT THIS!!!!
