Meet Katelyn Ball! This 2nd grader at Rock Run Elementary was inspired to give it back to her community through a leadership program at school. Katelyn chose to share her gifts with the tenants at Ashbrook as her Great Uncle Erwin resides with us. She also brought extra helping hands with her siblings Alex, Brayden and Chloe Ball.

This young lady said she never celebrated her birthday because it was too close to Christmas...well we would have none of that. Our sweet staff brought cupcakes and balloons for Donna Bartlett and her family! Happy birthday Donna! 🎂

We were delighted that the Iowa Falls Fire Department made a special trip to Ashbrook Assisted Living. As you can see from the smiles, everyone enjoyed this time together. It’s always nice to learn about fire safety from those that know best!

Brightening the Lives of Nursing Home Residents!

A family member brought in her new 9 week old Boxer puppy. She hadn't had him 24 hours, yet she needed help with naming the cute little bundle of joy. So she left it up to her Dad to name him, but under one condition. It had to be named after a country singer. Dad came up with 'Waylon.' Residents enjoyed all the puppy snuggles and look forward to watching him grow, as the daughter visits weekly.

Lights, camera and a lot of culinary action took place at the Regional Culinary Conference. Our own dietary stars, Denise & Mary Jo, took part in this tasty event that was directed by Lisa Mosley and Martin Brothers. What a great time to learn, enjoy some laughs and sample some delious food!

Greenbelt Bank sponsored a very relaxing ride on the water aboard the Scenic Empress. The bank also treated tenants to four different kinds of delicious cheesecake.

What a great way to end our celebration of Assisted Living Week/20 year anniversary!

BORN TO BE WILD!!!!
Assisted Living Week/ Day 4 Happenings! Tenants were given motorcycle rides!!! Smiles and waves were everywhere! Tenants telling other tenants, 'You have to go, it is so fun!' For some, it was a first. An enjoyful time was had by all!!!
We want to give a big shout out to Denny Prohaska, Travis Prchaska, and Mark Butler!

Assisted Living Week/ Day 3 Happenings! Tenants enjoyed a lunch outing to The Westside Restaurant in Alden. Good food, beautiful weather and good company enjoyed by all.

Iowa Falls/ Alden High School students provided art supplies for a very enjoyable art project.

Day 2 of celebrating Assisted Living Week with a "Roaring 20's Party." Residents enjoyed Fizzy Flappers, Bees Knees beverages and Charcuterie snack cups. Music was provided by The Bare Bone Duo.

Tenants and staff of Ashbrook Assisted Living started the week with a dinner celebrating Assisted Living Week and the 20th year anniversary of the facility. A 'Photo Booth,' started the evening where all enjoyed serious and humorous pictures strips printed for souvenirs. A delicious dinner of 'Surf and Turf' was served by our Dietary Dept. while accompanied by piano music by Dennis, one of our Maintenance men. We were happy to have Wayne and Marlene, owners of the facility join us. A great time was had by all.

Ashbrook Assisted Living is Celebrating 20 Years of being open and serving our community. So along with this and Assisted Living Week, we have a week full of fun activities planned.
