Please help to spread the word about Marian's service as the Gannett News Corporation that prints the Aberdeen American News failed to print her obituary in today's newspaper. This was not the fault of the local staff of the American News but was the fault of the newspapers owners, the Gannett News people who print the paper. They have also stated that they will not be able to print it in Saturday's paper or Monday's paper due to the newly formed holiday, Juneteenth, that was enacted by the federal government. The Gannet response is that they have given their employees that do the layout of the obituary page (Who are not in South Dakota) the days off. The Gannett people did not inform all funeral homes of these situations.

The staff of Gramm Funeral Home feels terrible about this situation and we have expressed our displeasure with Gannett to their representatives out of state. However, we are sure of the love and kindness shared by our residents in rural South Dakota who will help to spread the word to others about the times of the service for Marian.
