We had the privilege of gathering together for a heartfelt remembrance ceremony to honor the cherished loved ones we have lost this past year. There were tears, laughter, and beautiful memories shared by associates, residents, and families. Stories of lifelong love, treasured friendships, and simple moments like picking fresh mint in the backyard filled the room with warmth and reflection. Together, we held close the memories of those who touched our hearts and will always be deeply missed.

Riverbend's own Reflections Director, Molly, conducted our first A Walk in Their Shoes simulation at the Ipswich Council on Aging this week. Tara, our Senior Sales & Marketing Director joined her and provided the group with delicious cookies from our kitchen and some collateral for those in need. Each year, we’re honored to join the Alzheimer's Association Rhode Island Chapter Caregiver Conference alongside members of multiple LCB community leadership teams.

This annual event gives us the opportunity to share our Walk in Their Shoes dementia simulation—an immersive, body-based experience that helps caregivers more deeply understand what their loved ones are going through.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting Darren and Ian from Total Wine! They took us on a deep dive into the history of rum and its role in three classic cocktails—from a refreshing daiquiri to a timeless rum and coke, and even a comforting hot buttered rum.

Spring was in full bloom at our spring wreath workshop! Residents who reside in our Reflections Memory Care Neighborhood got creative with beautiful flowers, delicate butterflies, lush greenery, and charming birds to design their own one-of-a-kind wreaths. Each piece turned out uniquely beautiful and now they’re proudly displayed on apartment doors throughout our neighborhood.
