The Dickinson County 4-H Proud Equestrian would like to recognize everyone that made this wonderful program possible! Thank you to my 4-H PEP committee members who help with the planning and implementation of this program, Elizabeth Alderman, Ricki Steigerwald, Sarah Nocerini, Sharon Maahs, Ted Jensen, Deb Dziedzic and Chris Erkkila! Thank you to the Dickinson County Fair for allowing us to use your fairgrounds every year to implement the program! Thank you Tractor Supply and Parker Feed and Supply for donating supplies! Thank you to Knights of Columbus, Walmart, Super One and the Heather Janssen Memorial Show for your financial donation. Thank you to United Way of Dickinson County for providing the funds to make this program happen every year!
Thank you to the following individuals who allowed us to use their wonderful horses for the program: Joyce Giuliani, Ted Jensen, Nichole Stebane, Travis Klitzke, Nancy Kugler, Sarah Nocerini, Emily Gunville, JD Casagranda and Lexi Beachamp! This is your last week to request or turn in your application for the Dickinson County 4-H Proud Equestrian Program! This is a free, 5 day, therapeutic horseback riding program for youth and young adults, ages 5-26, who have a disability of any kind. The program is ran under the instruction of a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor with the help of community youth and adult volunteers. It is designed to improve balance, coordination, posture and muscle tone while also increasing confidence and social growth in the participants. Don't miss the opportunity to get involved! Thank you so very much for the generous donation to the
Dickinson County 4H Proud Equestrian Program from the Heather Janssen Memorial Show. We greatly appreciate the support Diane Peppler. Thank you to all who help make the show possible and thank you to those that came out to show their horses on this beautiful day to honor Heather’s Memory. She was such a special, loving person. I feel her Strong Spirit at the horse shows especially at this particular show! We love you and miss you Heather! ❤️

Thank you to Bishop Baraga Council 1585 of the Knights of Columbus for their $200 donation to our 4-H Proud Equestrian Program! Through their annual tootsie roll drive, they have been able to generously donate to our program for many years.

HELP NEED VOLUNTEERS
The MSU Dickinson County 4-H Proud Equestrian Program will be held from August 4th-August 8th from 8:00AM-3:30PM at the Dickinson County Fairground in Norway, MI. This is a therapeutic horseback riding program for special needs youth and young adults. We need volunteers: to walk with the riders, lead horses, clean stalls, feeding horses, and assist in many ways. We also need safe quiet horses to use in the program.
Please message me. 😊🐴
Please support our local 4-H by donating your time, financial aid, used tack and/or volunteering your safe horse to be used in the program.

The Dickinson County 4-H Program wants to extend a huge thank you to our largest financial donor, United Way of Dickinson County. They have provided continued support to PEP for many years. This year they have contributed $4,000 to ensure the continuation of this program that means the absolute world to our riders and families. In addition to providing funding, they also have board members that actually come out to the fairgrounds and volunteer along with us! We wouldn't be able to do what we do without the generosity of people like them.
