Our special guest judge panel included:

✨ Ron from Heartland Hospice

They bravely tasted every chili and deliberated to determine our top winners… and the results are IN! 🏆

Today our residents were blessed with beautiful songs, thoughtful Thanksgiving cards, and delicious snacks from the wonderful Bald K**b church group. Their kindness filled our halls with joy, music, and gratitude. 🎶🍂

Thank you for taking the time to brighten our residents’ day in such a special way. Your generosity and caring spirit mean so much to all of us here at Sanctuary.

🦃✨ We are truly thankful turkeys for a community as great as ours!

🦃 🚨 BREAKING NEWS: TURKEY CHAOS AT OUR FACILITY 🚨 🦃
Tom Turkey—yes, THAT Tom Turkey—has apparently discovered the copy button and is now running around as The Clone Ranger, duplicating himself like he’s got a glitch in the gobble matrix.

We now have:
✔ 1 original Tom
✔ ??? mystery number of turkey clones
✔ 0 clues on why he’s doing this
✔ 100% confusion

Our brave residents are on a top-secret mission to hunt down every last Tom look-alike hiding in the wild (aka hallways, corners, and probably places he shouldn’t be).

Mission Instructions:
🔎 Find turkey clones
🧮 Guess how many exist
📝 Report guess to Activities
⏰ Deadline: Nov. 27
🥤 Prize: A MILKSHAKE OF THEIR WILDEST DREAMS

Whoever guesses closest wins!

🇺🇸 Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

Today we had the honor of celebrating the 30 amazing veterans who call our facility home. Your courage, dedication, and sacrifices mean the world to us — and it was such a joy to spend the day recognizing each of you! ❤️

A huge thank you to Gary Robertson, preacher and veteran, for sharing such a meaningful message and connecting so deeply with our residents. Your words truly touched everyone in the room.

We’d also like to send a very special thank-you to those who helped make today so meaningful:
💙 Community Hospice – thank you for lending helping hands and being part of our day.
❤️ Heartland Hospice, especially George, who kicked things off perfectly by playing “I’m Proud to Be an American.” What a wonderful way to start our celebration!
💚Cody Bland at SMMC Home Health - Thank you for dropping off some refreshments for our celebration!
💛 Advanced Hospice – thank you for coming in and showing your support for our veterans.

Another big shout-out to the VFW for bringing over delicious dinners for our veterans — your generosity truly warmed our hearts.

And of course, a sweet thank-you to Nate Brafford for donating containers of homemade peanut butter fudge and chocolate fudge! Our veterans absolutely loved the treats! 🍫

Today was filled with pride, gratitude, and community spirit. We’re so thankful for everyone who came together to honor our heroes — our residents, our staff, and our wonderful community. ❤️🤍💙

What a treat this morning! George came in to sing like he does the first Friday every month and a resident requested this song before so he played it again and John joined in. Our residents all really enjoyed it!

What a wonderful time we had today! Our hearts were full as we lifted our voices in hymns and shared in sweet fellowship together. A big thank you to Lee Dean Sings for blessing us with such uplifting music and joyful spirit. 🎶💛There’s nothing like good songs, good company, and a reminder of the joy we share in faith. This month we’re highlighting Lisa Perkins for her dedication, kindness, and heart for our residents. Thank you, Lisa, for all you do!

🎁 Adopt a Resident for Christmas!
It’s that special time of year again — help make the holidays brighter for our residents! Stop by and see Ansleigh, our Activity Director, or message us here to find out how to “adopt” a resident and spread some cheer this season.

🎶 Music & Memories:
We’re excited to welcome back Keith Ellison, sharing “New Old Songs,” and Lee Dean, who will be leading us in hymns and stories that warm the heart this month!

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Celebration:
Join us as we honor our heroes — both those who live here and veterans everywhere — for their service and sacrifice on 11/11 .

🍰 Bake Sale & Chili Cookoff!
We’ll be hosting a Bake Sale (11/14) to raise money for our Resident Holiday Fund and a Chili Cookoff (11/18) with guest judges, a prize for the winner and staff can try the chilis too with a donation towards residents' holiday fund. Staff and residents alike can enjoy the fun (and the food)!
