Somewhere along the line, a lot of people started believing that healthcare was only for if you’re really sick. If not, you were supposed to tough it out.

But that’s not true. And, it’s definitely not how we do things at The Weekend Clinic.

🚫 Peeing shouldn’t burn.
🚫 Blood pressure shouldn’t stay high.
🚫 Rashes shouldn’t linger for weeks.
🚫 You shouldn’t have to ignore a tick bite and hope for the best.

These are the exact kinds of problems we help with every Sunday. You don’t need insurance, an appointment, or a giant medical bill to get care.

💙 No insurance? No problem.
Come see us, because you don’t have to “just deal with it.”

The Weekend Clinic is growing, and that is a good problem to have.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit free clinic, and every dollar we raise goes directly back into serving patients who would not otherwise have access to care. To keep up with the number of people we are seeing, we are looking for a local physician to join our team in a collaborative role.

This is not a hands-on weekend shift. What we need is a partner who can provide oversight and support to our nurse practitioners as we expand services.

We will cover the details:
• Ohio license if needed
• Malpractice coverage
• A role that does not take away your weekends

What we can’t cover is how it feels to know you’re helping bring access to people who would otherwise go without. That part’s all yours.

I’m not usually one to pat myself on the back, but The Weekend Clinic is something I’m truly proud of - only because I feel like we are making a true impact within the community. It’s been a long road getting here, and now with some incredible volunteers, we’re helping folks in our community who wouldn’t have care otherwise.

Tomorrow evening (Thursday, Aug. 28) we’re having an Open House. Nothing formal, just a chance to walk through, look around, and see that this little clinic is real and what we have to offer. We’ll have some fruit, veggies, and yes, cookies.

We’re also offering a way to make a direct difference through our “Sponsor a Patient” program. For the cost of a meal out ($10), you can cover care for a neighbor in need. 100% goes right back into the community.

So if you’ve ever wondered what we’re doing here, this is your chance to see it for yourself. And if you can’t make it, sharing this post is another way to help spread the word.

Last weekend, we brought The Weekend Clinic to the Huntington Mall!

We joined the Back-to-School Fair to meet the community, check blood pressures, and share more about our free healthcare services for the uninsured and underinsured.

✅ Dozens of blood pressures checked
✅ Lots of great conversations about what “free clinic” really means
✅ More people now know they have a place to turn when they need care without worrying about cost

Well… we made the news. 😅

WSAZ stopped by The Weekend Clinic today to figure out what kind of operation we’re running. Turns out, it’s a good one!

We talked about how we’re trying to make healthcare a little less intimidating and much more accessible.
