Mercy Health — Marcum and Wallace Hospital proudly presented a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the community, made possible by the Irvine Lodge #137 F&AM and Irvine Chapter #357 OES. Meghan Mills, director of community health, welcomed attendees, saying, “We are so grateful to our community partners for helping us bring life-saving resources to those who need them most.”
Trena Stocker, president of Marcum and Wallace Hospital, and Kathy Withers, executive director of the Mercy Health Foundation – Irvine, were on hand to celebrate this important addition, emphasizing that projects like these are made possible through generous donations to the foundation.
Ashley Darbyshire, chest pain coordinator and main presenter, shared: “By placing AEDs in public spaces, we give every person in our community a fighting chance. Early CPR and rapid defibrillation save lives.”
We also want to recognize the members and supporters present: E. Darren Wilson, Bobby Griggs, Matt Kirby, Lonnie Clem, Ronnie Isaacs, Glenn Wise, Brian Rogers, Christa Rogers, Missy Hunt, Faye Ross, Kathy Thompson, Susan Hawkins, and Randall Moore.
