Our practice focuses on primary care, including routine eye exam services of glasses and contact lens prescriptions. In addition, we also provide services for glaucoma detection, diabetic retinopathy screening, multifocal and monovision contact lens fittings, amblyopia detection and treatment, and triage of urgent care patients. Furthermore, we specialize in Dry Eye Disease, a common problem among
contact lens wearers and users of electronic devices, and offer extensive treatments such as punctal plugs and Restasis therapy. Growing up in Los Angeles, Dr. Thomas Wu has always enjoyed the sunny weather of California and the cultural diversity of the community. He has practiced in many varied environments and can speak Mandarin, Spanish, and fluent Cantonese. He has extensive experience working at the Veteran Affairs Hospitals in Los Angeles and Seattle, community clinics in Oakland, and private practice in Indio. in Human Biology at UC San Diego, and went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. While completing his training, Dr. Wu participated in multiple research findings in the Levi lab at UC Berkeley that specializes in amblyopia research. Thus, earning him the award for graduation with honors in clinical research and the UC Berkeley Departmental Award 4 years in a roll. Dr. Wu has also received travel grants to present his research at the American Academy of Optometry meeting and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
