From your aesthetic needs to your choice in surgeon, plastic surgery is an incredibly personal experience. As a patient, you must have absolute confidence in the ability, artistry, and judgment of your cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Kyle Song understands that there is a specific solution for each individual, and is committed to providing the highest level of medical expertise and personalized care. He has
been trained with the most current, innovative techniques including minimally-invasive surgery, and offers the full range of aesthetic and rejuvenation procedures for face, breast, and body. Dr. Song completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, where he earned a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. During this time, he also played on the men’s varsity golf team, served in student government, and volunteered at the local children’s hospital. After graduating, Dr. Song obtained his medical degree from UC Davis Medical School, scoring in the 99% percentile across the country for all board exams, and finishing in the top of his class. He was subsequently selected into the highly competitive General Surgery / Plastic Surgery program at UC Davis, where he had the opportunity to train under some of the most renowned cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons in the nation - including former director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Thomas Stevenson; Harvard-trained craniofacial surgeon, Dr. Granger Wong; body-contouring expert, Dr. Michael Wong; and international fat-grafting expert, Dr. Lee Pu. Dr. Song excelled in all areas of his training, and established himself as one of their leading plastic surgical trainees. Dr. Song’s clinical research has been published in several peer-reviewed plastic surgery publications, and has authored a textbook chapter in Asian cosmetic surgery. He has presented his work at multiple regional, national, and international plastic surgical meetings, and was awarded the Francis W. Most recently, Dr. Song was runner-up for the resident research competition at the 2011 California Society of Plastic Surgeons conference (CSPS). Dr. Song has traveled extensively, providing reconstructive surgical services to impoverished children around the world. In Egypt, he took his training in cleft lip and palate repair to help numerous children who would otherwise have no access to these procedures. In Tijuana, Mexico, Dr. Song’s experience in burn surgery allowed him to volunteer time at the Shriner’s outreach clinic, helping some of the victims in the tragic Hermosillo daycare fire. Such volunteer missions have not only improved the quality of life for these patients, but have given their communities a renewed hope. When not actively pursuing the art of medicine, Dr. Song takes time to focus on his family and athletic endeavors. He has completed numerous triathlons, two Ironman races, including the prestigious Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, and has been selected by Trisports.com to be part of their amateur sponsorship team. With compassion and expertise, Dr. Song is committed to the highest standards of medical expertise and personalized care. He has dedicated himself to the pursuit of excellence in cosmetic surgery, focusing on both the physical and emotional elements of the cosmetic process.
