Noticing that little hump at the base of your neck? You’re not imagining it!

So what is it?

It comes from forward-head posture (thank you, devices 📱). Muscles and fascia adapt to this change.�

Here's the thing:

❌️ Stretching won’t fix it

✅️ You need to retrain your brain and body to hold the proper posture and move functionally again.

✅️ This can be accomplished with developmental exercises.

Most people isolate the neck like it’s its own separate creature 😅 But its not!

The neck is part of a whole system — and breathing a big part of that!�Biological breathing changes neck tension + posture!

When you skip learning what the right way to move is, you bump into problems! Start with mechanics, not stretching or strengthening. Mechanics first… then everything else becomes easier!

Forward neck posture can create a lot of tension in the surrounding muscles and can even compress nerves.

Top 3 Tips to Avoid Text Neck 📱

💥 Bring the center of your monitor to eye level (in sitting & standing)

💥 Use the 20-20-20 rule (look at something 20ft away, for 20 seconds, every 20 minutes)

💥 Practice gliding your neck back (don't tuck your chin!)

Is you work behind a computer, start implementing these tips now! BUT do know that there is much more that needs to be done to correct your posture.
