We’re excited to officially share the new logos for The Roosevelt Collective.

What started as a vision in Jeffrey’s mind has now been brought to life in a way that feels bold, playful, and true to who we are becoming.

We especially love Lil Zilla — a symbol of strength, growth, and steady evolution. Small but mighty. Grounded, but powerful. And of course, that fire? A subtle nod to our heated roots and the discipline that built this community in the first place.

This next chapter isn’t about starting over. It’s about building forward — honoring where we began while expanding what’s possible.

There’s sometimes an unspoken tension around adding strength to a traditional yoga practice.

But strength training doesn’t compete with Bikram. It reinforces it.

It’s also worth remembering that the lineage itself wasn’t separate from strength. At Bishnu Ghosh’s College of Physical Education in Calcutta — where Bikram trained under his guru, Bishnu Ghosh — yoga was practiced alongside bodybuilding and physical culture. Strength development was part of the foundation.

Strength and yoga were never meant to be opposites.

When integrated thoughtfully, they build a practice that lasts.

💥 NEW CLASS ALERT: Kettlebell Fundamentals
with Shira Jackman

This Wednesday marks the very first Kettlebell Fundamentals class, and we’re excited to officially bring this offering to the schedule.

If you want to build strength, improve mobility, and increase power, speed, and coordination—all with one versatile tool—this class is for you. You’ll learn the foundations of classic kettlebell training, including swings, deadlifts, presses, squats, get-ups, and more, in a challenging but welcoming environment that prioritizes proper technique, safety, and injury prevention.

This class is led by Shira Jackman, a certified strength and nutrition coach with over a decade of experience in NYC and California. Shira is certified through StrongFirst and the Russian Kettlebell Club (RKC) and brings a deep love of movement to her teaching—from professional dance and powerlifting to climbing, swimming, Bikram Yoga and beyond. Her philosophy is simple: movement is medicine, and motion is lotion.

When: Wednesdays & Sundays at 12:00 pm.
Spots are limited — advance registration required. Bring a mat & water. The Room will not be heated.
