Live Awareness Through Movement Coming!

Group Classes are more affordable than private lessons, but what many people dipping their toes into the Feldenkrais Method often miss is that Awareness Through Movement is not only more affordable: it's also "the higher art." Instead of having me provide feedback through touch that helps you learn, Awareness Through Movement requires to student to take command of their own powers of self-organization by monitoring how they perform the various "movement puzzles" offered in class.

The rabbit hole goes deep: Moshe Feldenkrais created over FOUR HUNDRED distinct lessons in his lifetime.

Coming in January: Semi-Private Group Classes!

Our office expansion allows me to begin offering small semi-private Awareness Through Movement classes (5 attendees maximum).

Awareness Through Movement is an affordable way to learn how to master your body through slow deliberate movements which help you to discover how you use yourself, and in the process, how to recognize your behavioral patterns and use them to SERVE YOU rather than be at their mercy. Very effective for people suffering from anxiety and general-purpose klutziness who would like to improve themselves.

IRVING FELDENKRAIS IS EXPANDING (and needs your help)!

For the next week or two heading into Christmas, we'll be doing business out of Suite 242 rather than 219 (the big glass one on the left as you start climbing to the 2nd floor). I'll be picking up the empty suite next door, which will give me the space to do two exciting things, in addition to private lessons:

1. Sport-specific lessons where you need more space to move around (also, no need to walk in the hall before/after a lesson).

2. Small group classes (Awareness Through Movement), which I haven't been able to offer since the Covid-related closings of the old locations. This is especially helpful as an affordable option for those of you who have several family members wanting to learn, where ongoing private lessons may be a price issue.

My rent increase is going to be non-trivial. So I need to ask for some help: if what I do has helped you, please think about recommending me to one person to whom you think I could make a difference, and who has the desire to improve themselves.
