Kidney stones are more common than you might think — and they can be very painful. The good news? Simple habits can help lower your risk.

💧 Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. You can also include citrus drinks like lemon or orange water, which may help prevent stones.

🥗 Eat a balanced diet: Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Limit salt, sugary drinks and highly processed foods, which can increase your risk.

If you experience symptoms like severe back or side pain, nausea, or blood in your urine, talk to your doctor.

Taking care of your kidneys is an important part of your overall health.

what endometriosis is?

In women, the uterus is lined with a certain kind of tissue. Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissue similar to that found in the uterus grows outside of it. This often causes pelvic and stomach pain, heavy menstrual periods, pain and other symptoms. In some cases, it can even cause fertility issues.

There is currently no cure for endometriosis, but symptoms can sometimes be managed with certain medications or surgery to remove the endometriosis tissue. If you experience any symptoms of endometriosis, talk to your primary care doctor or gynecologist about testing and treatment options.

Molina Healthcare of Texas, in partnership with HOPE Clinic and a Bite of HOPE, proudly hosted a community baby shower and health resource fair focused on healthy eating, colon health and cancer prevention.

This free event connected expectant parents with essential baby supplies, clinic services and valuable educational resources to support a healthy start for their families.

Molina also led a hands-on healthy cooking demonstration, sharing simple meal ideas that support colon health and may help reduce cancer risk. Attendees learned about early colorectal cancer screenings, ways to lower their personal risk and how to improve digestive health with affordable, fiber-rich foods.

A heartfelt thank-you to HOPE and all our community partners for helping make this event meaningful and impactful for families in our community.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer, or colon cancer, is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among both men and women in the U.S.

Like many cancers, colorectal cancer might not show any signs until it has progressed to later stages, at which point it's harder to treat. But if it's caught early, it can be treated. That’s why it's so important to get an annual colorectal cancer screening, often referred to as a colonoscopy.

Most adults should begin getting screenings at age 45; however, those with a family history of certain cancers or pre-existing conditions may start screenings earlier.
