This morning 2/21/25 at Seneca EMS was dispatched on territory for a woman in active labor. Seneca EMS arrived, began transporting to the appropriate facility with Advanced EMT Alex Raynor and Paramedic Alan Williams on board.

While all paramedics, AEMTs and EMTs are trained to help deliver a baby, should the occasion arise, it’s a once-in-a-career kind of call for most first responders. Paramedic Williams has been in EMS for 39 years and this was his first delivery as he assisted A-EMT Raynor with the delivery in the back of the ambulance. A-EMT Raynor has been in EMS for 6 years and this was his first delivery as well. The call proved a rewarding and valuable life changing experience. On behalf of Seneca EMS we would like to congratulate the family and welcome their beautiful baby girl!
