We’re proud to celebrate a meaningful milestone at NorthStar Anesthesia—one year as an Anesthesia-Specific Patient Safety Organization (PSO).

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to building a culture rooted in safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Its work made possible by teams like our Quality & Patient Safety Committee (QPSC), a group of dedicated anesthesiologists and CRNAs who generously contribute their time and expertise to advancing clinical quality across our organization.

At their recent meeting, the committee updated its Charter to align with our PSO designation and left energized to further strengthen patient safety through new guidelines and best practices.

We had a fantastic time connecting with the University of South Florida Class of 2027 RRNAs at our recent Ask an Anesthesia Leader post–final exams luncheon in Tampa! The event saw a great turnout and an energetic, celebratory feel as students wrapped up their final exams for the semester.

The conversation was engaging and thoughtful, with Matthew Martin and Amanda Spitzer, DNP, CRNA answering questions spanning the anesthesia profession, today’s market, contract negotiation, and how to grow into confident, successful CRNAs after graduation. A big thank-you to everyone who helped bring this event together and to the students for such an engaging discussion!

We were thrilled by the amazing turnout at the 47th Annual University of Detroit Mercy CRNA seminar this past weekend! It was inspiring to meet so many future CRNAs from the classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028 who are eager to learn more about opportunities with NorthStar Anesthesia.
