Residents enjoyed making their own nachos in a bag. It was a perfect socializing event. Everyone was able to assemble their own with a bag of doritos chips, tomatoes, scallions, olives and jalapenos. Mark, our dietary manager made us some nacho cheese and everyone enjoyed! 🌮 🎉

Today we celebrated Grandparents Day at Las Brisas. Our day started with brunch for all. Special thanks to our dietary manager, Mark for serving us warm tacos with eggs, sausage and bacon. The event was followed by the surprise birthday celebration for our receptionist Linda Rebora. The event was planned by one of our residents and family members. Our day ended with a warm gooey brownie with vanilla ice cream!!! We are thankful to our families for the warm brownies.

CALL FOR ARTISTS 🧑‍🎨
Any resident at Las Brisas has the opportunity to show off their talents by entering the annual FCOS art show. It is exclusively focused on fostering creativity and promoting the talents of our nursing home residents.
Residents have up until October 31st to submit their very best artwork (1 entry). Judging will take place early November and the art show awards will be announced early December. Can’t wait to see what you create!

A successful fun summer carnival was held today at Las Brisas. It was a community event where we had people from church, hospice and home health companies, families and of course our lovely residents. Everyone had so much fun.

My heartfelt thank you to all our department heads and nursing students who helped me make this event successful.
Special thanks to Jessie from Century hospice, Tasha from Infinity care and Jaylin Jones from Complete Tx who helped me with games, prizes and lot of drinks.

Today, the residents at Las Brisas made candles for their favorite staff member. They enjoyed the whole process of melting wax, adding dye, favorite scent and flowers to top it all off. The room was a potpourri of smells like jasmine, lavender, apple, cinnamon, rose and eucalyptus. Mmm so good. 😀

A family member made and bought Two pounds of Red Beans, crispy Fried Cornbread, sweet Vidalia Onions, Ice cream social and 75¢ Whataburgers celebrating 75 years on National Hamburger Day! 🍔🎈
Bowling, a lively round of Mexican Train, and the sweet sounds of good ole Bluegrass Gospel music by Glenda Martin & Faye Anderson made it the perfect day! 💙🎶

The nursing students who train at Las Brisas Rehabilitation and Wellness Suites went all in for the pretty nails event this afternoon. They did hand massages, manicures, eyebrows and even braided one of our residents hair. The residents felt so pampered and relaxed.
