Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times

When people ask me how I became interested in Chinese Medicine, I tell them it was my destiny.

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, my extended family grew farm-cultivated ginseng, one of the more popular Chinese herbs in the West. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs were common treatments in my early life. While I was afraid of the needles and disliked the taste of the herbs, I couldn’t deny their effectiveness.

Years later, when I decided to pursue an advanced degree in acupuncture, these early experiences shaped my approach. I knew I wasn’t alone in my aversion to needles and dislike of the herbs, so a central focus of my practice became tailoring treatments to each individual’s preferences using a number of practices and various styles of acupuncture.

My approach is unique because I listen the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of your experience in addition to the physical. Each session honors where you are that day while also working toward the longer-term goals we’ve established.
