National Library Week is coming up soon and we are so excited to have that week filled with programs. Kicking off National Library Week on April 20th will be an Edible Flowers presentation. Connie Petersen, Shelby County Master Gardener, will be teaching us about edible flowers. We will also be sampling some desserts that have flowers in the recipe.

Deb Mortensen, Iowa children's author, is coming to the Lied Irwin Public Library to share her two books, "Not Mine" and "Not Me." These books teach kids about manners and responsibility. Deb will be doing a story time for all ages on April 14th at 6:30pm with activities to go along with the books.

Tomorrow night the Lied Irwin Public Library is hosting a Radon Basics class with the American Lung Association to better inform you about radon and lung cancer. There will be time for a Q & A after the virtual presentation. Each household will get a free radon kit to take home.

Bringing back a beloved tradition of an Easter Egg Hunt brought over 100 people! We are egg-static! We can't wait to continue having an annual Easter Egg Hunt in Irwin again.
There are a few behind-the-scenes people that we want to thank:

Update: The Easter Egg Hunt will be at the Irwin City Park!

With the American Lung Association, the Lied Irwin Public Library will be having a live, virtual program to help us understand the dangers of Radon and what it means for you. Radon kits will be passed out during the program for attendees to take home.
