We are so excited to introduce you to Melissa DeHaven, Billing Specialist/Professional Problem Solver/Administrative Ninja!

Melissa brings 15 years of billing and accounting experience from the hospitality field to her new venture as a mental health biller. With a background in customer service and office management, she is detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and efficiency in every step of the billing process—all while maintaining a friendly, personalized approach. She also has experience in the mental health field as an administrative superhero and is trauma-informed and has a unique understanding of the complexities of the therapy world.

What Melissa enjoys most about her work is helping providers feel less stressed about paperwork so they can focus on what is important, clients. Outside of work, she enjoys making her own cold brew coffee, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, often by way of glamping at her permanent site at an RV park.

Melissa is finally ready to expand her billing and administrative talents to the public and is able to work with clinicians outside of The Mind and Body Collective. Melissa provides billing services, administrative assistance, help with credentialing, VCAP claim submission and more for $25/hour.

If you are interested in working with Melissa don't hesitate to reach out to us at mindbodycollective25@gmail.com or contact her directly at billing@melissadehaven.com

We’d like to introduce you to our intern, Darren. Darren is currently enrolled in Waynesburg University’s Master of Counseling Psychology. He was a great fit for us due to his clinical interest in EMDR, trauma, somatic work, nature, and mindfulness practice.

Prior to entering the mental health field he worked for 18 years running a nature-based mentorship program for teens and young adults in parks and forests around the country. He is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys the opportunity to help people experience the benefits of nature through conservation work and experiential activities. He deeply values the healing power of being connected with our bodies and nature.

As a counselor in training, he brings a compassionate and collaborative spirit to his work and values creating a safe space for clients to explore how past experiences influence their present. Darren’s therapeutic approach integrates a variety of techniques and modalities including mindfulness-based interventions, somatic work, and grounding. He is eager to learn more and is excited to get an array of clinical experiences at The Mind and Body Collective!

He is currently open to start seeing his own clients both in-person and via telehealth. Darren is taking clients at no cost.

Please email us to get a consultation with Darren!
