Meet the other face behind The Mind and Body Collective, LLC!
Kayla DiPaolo, LPC
Kayla has been doing trauma-focused work for the past five years, and it’s truly become her passion. Throughout her career, she has supported clients across a variety of settings. Including inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient community mental health, and drug and alcohol treatment programs. Each of these experiences has shaped the grounded, understanding, and compassionate presence she brings to therapy. Kayla believes healing looks different for everyone, and she meets each person exactly where they are.
In 2022, Kayla opened her private practice with a special focus on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She works closely with survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence, domestic violence, and individuals who experience difficulty with managing anxiety. She is also is LGBTQ+ friendly🏳️🌈 Kayla integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with EMDR to help clients build a healthier, more accepting relationship with their emotions. Kayla believes that uncomfortable feelings aren’t meant to be erased—they’re something we learn to understand, hold, and explore with more self-compassion.
Kayla’s therapy style is calming, gentle, and deeply collaborative. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and safe enough to explore the parts of themselves that often go unheard.
Kayla is currently in-network with Highmark, UPMC, and Aetna, and also works with the Victim Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP) to help survivors access the care they deserve with financial support when eligible. While Kayla has very limited availability at the moment, she would be happy to assist is finding a referral if needed!
Outside of session, Kayla is working toward getting her dog, Poppy, certified as a therapy dog beginning next year 🐶 Kayla also loves being outside adventuring and her favorite season is winter, particularly when it is snowing❄️😌
