Healing with Horsepower: Lisa Gatti, Founder and CEO of Pal-O-Mine, was profiled in Newsday’s Act 2 section on December 7th. In the article, Lisa shares the story of what inspired her to create Pal-O-Mine, which began with “one woman, one horse and one volunteer” and today serves nearly 3,000 people a year on our 13-acre farm that is home to 25 specially trained horses. Pal-O-Mine was thrilled to welcome Carolyn Gusoff , the Long Island reporter for CBS New York , to the farm earlier this week. Carolyn interviewed participants in our J-STEP vocational program about the beautiful and unique seasonal products that they design, create and sell at our Holiday Shoppe. Tuesday was a very special day for Pal-O-Mine, as Founder and CEO Lisa Gatti, along with J-STEP's Vocational Coordinator, Jane O’Brien and intern Spencer Poole, were in NYC at Fox Studios to tape a segment of FOX 5 Good Day Street Talk . The public affairs program will air this Saturday, Dec. 13th at 6 am – but if you’re not an early riser, not to worry! We will post a link to the show as soon as it’s available. Thanks to program host Antwan Lewis Fox 5 News and to Rosanna Scotto Fox 5 , co-host of Good Day New York, who stopped by to greet the Pal-O-Mine team!

Pal-O-Mine is grateful to the New York Islanders for choosing us as one of their 2025 Hockey with a Heart community partners and for donating proceeds from the 50/50 raffle at the Dec. 9th game to support our mission. About 40 of our staff members, family and friends sold raffle tickets and enjoyed the thrilling game, with the Isles winning in a tiebreaker shootout. Thank you to the incredible Islander Events, Sales and Community outreach teams for all of your help with organizing this amazing experience and for working with our team!
