Welcome Jamie Akers to Ciel of Issaquah!

We’re thrilled to introduce Jamie Akers as our new Executive Director at Ciel of Issaquah. With 28 years of experience in senior living, including 18 years in memory care, Jamie brings expertise, compassion, and a dedication to creating a vibrant, supportive community for all residents.

Jamie began her journey as a CNA, inspired by her grandfather’s experience in long-term care, and has spent her career building meaningful connections with residents, families, and team members. Outside of work, she is a proud mother of four and enjoys camping, traveling, movies, and dancing.

Join us for a Meet & Greet with Jamie on Thursday, October 23, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and help us welcome her to the Ciel of Issaquah family!

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟

This month, we’re proud to feature Tami, who has been part of the Ciel of Issaquah family for five years.

Tami first joined us in 2020 during the pandemic as a dishwasher and quickly stepped into the role of pastry chef. With a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition and training in pastry from culinary school, she brings incredible skill and creativity to our kitchen. Before joining Ciel, Tami honed her craft in the pastry kitchen at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

When everything opened back up, Tami chose to stay, and we’re so grateful she did. She finds it rewarding to create sweets that brighten residents’ days.

Outside of work, Tami keeps busy with her two daughters, ages 2 years and 8 months. Her dedication both at home and here at Ciel inspires us all.

Thank you, Tami, for all that you bring to our community!
