• Member since: I have been a member intermittently for approximately 7 years.

• What is your favorite thing about Orangetheory: I love the way OTF makes me feel; physically and mentally. The staff, coaches and other members are all so encouraging, and I feel welcome and grateful that I am able to complete such vigorous workouts.

• What is your favorite part of an Orangetheory workout: Every workout is different. If I don’t like one of the exercises, I can do something else – no judgment. The weights are my favorite station, and I really like using the TRX ropes.

• Favorite workout song: Anything by Eminem…..I feel like I could run through a wall!

• What impact has Orangetheory had on your life: Orangetheory has had a profound impact on my life. Physically, it has helped me shed weight, but more importantly, mentally, it has made me more accepting of my body. I am strong, and I can accomplish hard things. In addition, I love working out with my husband and my older daughter (hopefully my younger daughter one day soon) – it makes me super happy that we all can do something healthy and fun together!

• Favorite coach quote: Fist bumps on the way in. This sets the tone for the entire workout. We are a team, and we will do the workouts together. It is another way for us all to be accepted no matter our fitness level!

Meet Kara — one of the incredible founding members of OTF Woodlake! 🍊

After stepping away to welcome her daughter in November, Kara couldn’t wait to get back under the orange lights. When she heard Woodlake was opening, she jumped at the chance to return to the workouts, the coaches, and the community she missed so much.

For Kara, it’s the friendships, support, and shared goals that make OTF feel like home. She’s a big fan of Tread 50 and already has her sights set on Strength 50 next! 👟🧡

The best one-hour workout in the country! Orangetheory is a one hour, full body workout. We use heart-rate based interval training, and each workout focuses on endurance, power and/or strength. Intensity level is determined by your personal heart-rate zones, making OTF safe and effective for all fitness levels. Plus, our professional coaches are there to lead your through the workout and make sure you don’t over or under train.
