It's been 5 weeks, and Dr. Mel is making progress and doing a lot! But is she doing too much?...
Yesterday at the PT she was given the talk that she gives a lot of our patients. Overdoing is hard not he body, especially when it is still actively recovering from surgery. While Dr. Mel is already back to working, walking 30 minutes a day, and driving, she is finding that there is a lot of cramping in her quads. And the PT says it's because she is doing too much! So she is dialing it back down, reducing her walking because she is moving a lot at work, and then we are also making sure she is resting in between patients.
Recovery is hard, especially when you are an active person. Remembering your limits, pushing yourself int he right areas, and dialing it back when you need to is all a part of the journey. We are proud of the progress you made, and how strong you are, Dr. Mel! Keep up the good work, and don't forget to rest!!!
