We’re proud to spotlight Dr. Lohse, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow care.

Dr. Lohse has pioneered accelerated recovery techniques after wrist fractures and performed advanced cartilage transplantation for arthritis treatment. His care philosophy is built on education and personalization, helping each patient fully understand their condition and receive treatment tailored to their unique needs.

Recognized as a “Top Doc” by Seattle Magazine, Seattle Met, and Castle Connolly, Dr. Lohse is one of only two hand surgeons on the Eastside to hold this distinction.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys time with his wife and three children, running, skiing, hiking, and camping.

🏈 Friday Night Lights meet tradition this week! The Issaquah Eagles and Skyline Spartans face off in the annual Coal Bucket Game, featured as KING 5 Sports High School Football Big Game of the Week. 🪣

The Coal Bucket rivalry began in 2001, when former Issaquah coach Buddy Bland discovered a near-perfect coal bucket in storage. Since coal mining was once a cornerstone of Issaquah’s economy, he and Skyline coach Steve Gervais agreed to make it the symbol and the trophy for this classic matchup. ✨

Common causes include:
- Rapid changes in direction
- Sudden stops or slowing down while running
- Landing from a jump incorrectly
