Now that we know the different packages for the “Your Body Analysis”, we should go over how to prepare for your appointment!

In order for our test to gather accurate information, we ask to avoid factors that may skew the data. This includes refraining from: eating 4 hours before, exercising within 24 hours prior, wearing fitness watches/underwire in your bra, or taking stimulants the day of your test.

✨✨✨

We also ask for you to wear comfortable clothing that you’re able to move around in and to arrive 10/15 minutes prior to your appointment in order to complete the intake paperwork.

✨✨✨

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our front desk! 📞📞

“Your Body Analysis” presents a range of packages available for purchase.

✨✨✨

These three packages are broken into:
•RMR test and results
•VO2 test and results
•Combined RMR and VO2 tests with results

The RMR test is a measure of how much food, or energy, is required to maintain basic body functions. This includes breathing, heartbeat, maintenance of body heat, and so much more while your body is AT REST!

The VO2 max test is a measurement that reflects a person's ability to perform sustained exercise. This meaning that the test results show the maximum rate of oxygen consumption that can be attained during an intensive exercise/ movement.

✨✨✨

Interested in any of these packages? Call our front desk to schedule "Your Body Analysis" test today! 🏃🏽‍♀️📞

Don’t fear! It’s here!

You’re finally able to get on the schedule for our “Your Body Analysis” service!

✨✨✨

This process involves measuring your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) by having you sit in a relaxed position for 15 minutes and breathe directly into the metabreather (pictured above). This measurement provides an estimation of the number of calories your body burns at rest. By assessing your body’s optimal heart rate zones for building muscle, losing weight, or maintaining your current body composition, we use your Maximal Oxygen Consumption (VO2) measurements. To determine this, we have you walk/jog on a treadmill with a VO2 mask and headgear to measure the amount of oxygen your body is using at different exertion levels. This service offers personalized information that grants you freedom to tailor your journey to match your health goals and lifestyle choices.

✨✨✨

Balance Physical Therapy is going to be offering three different packages that you’re able to choose from- stay tuned for our exclusive Instagram discounts for these different offerings. 🏃🏽‍♀️

Your weight does not define your overall health and wellbeing. The National Institute of Health (NIH) reported in 2019 that out of the “13,996 individual case-study, it found that at least 60% of those individuals experienced weight stigma from healthcare providers.” At BPT, our core principle is to treat each person with equal respect and to listen to your body’s needs and feelings. Above, we have touched upon some actual medical findings that can provide a more precise reflection of health both mentally and physically. Our belief is that everyone has diverse health objectives; whether it involves weight loss, increasing water intake consistently, incorporating more movement into daily life, or any other goal, the choice is yours. The beauty of this journey and recovery is that we are privileged to be a part of it with you.

✨What signals do you rely on to gauge your well-being? Is it dedicating extra time to reading? Having the stamina for a longer run? Experiencing fewer headaches during the day? Share your thoughts in the comments section!✨

Have you ever received a referral to a physical therapist and felt apprehensive about it? Don’t worry, we understand why! Many misconceptions surround physical therapy, with one common belief being that it solely consists of exercise routines. In reality, your appointments involve much more than just that. Your physical therapist offers education, exercises, stretches, as well as other techniques for treatment.

✨✨✨

Manual therapy is a “hands-on technique” that doesn’t utilize devices or machines. This may include soft tissue work, joint mobilization, and other techniques to aide in reducing pain and restoring movement. Depending on what brings you to physical therapy, your PT may use these methods for your treatment.
